Talk about the best thing since cupcakes!! I know for some of you this might shake you a bit, but once you stop receiving notifications from all your social media apps (helping you further detach from being on your phone constantly) plus not mindlessly scrolling while you’re waiting on hold, at a stop light, waiting for an appointment, etc. (yes, totally guilty of that myself too!) your life will take on a new sense of presence. It seriously can’t be beat. Now, the only time I check media is if I manually log in from a computer or my phone. Is it a pain in the butt? You betcha, but that’s the point! Social media has all kinds of potential to suck the joy right out of your life. How many hours of your life that you can’t get back have you lost mindlessly scrolling through social media? Me too. How many times have you looked at someone’s gym selfies and started to feel self-conscious about your own body? Yep, been there. How many times have you logged onto social media and saw the sweetest, mushiest post about how amazing someone’s relationship is and started to question your own? Yuuuppp did that too once upon a time. Stop it. Just STOP.
