Full moon vibes. Detachment, surrender and liberation are at the forefront it seems.
I found this the other day in my phone and immediately found myself on the floor in a fit of giggles. It’s so true.
When we think of “surrender” and “detachment” – specifically from outcomes – we often go into victimhood, that it means giving up and letting whatever is afoot for us overtake us and we just get to lay on the floor getting repeatedly kicked in the gut.
It’s quite the opposite actually.
Surrendering and detaching from the outcome actually means that there are far more options, solutions and possibilities available than what our minds can currently perceive.
What people don’t usually talk about is the fact that our realities are shaped by our experiences. If we’ve only ever experienced certain things, feelings or outcomes, that means that’s all that’s available.
A + B = C.
Or does it?
What if, even if only for today, you allowed yourself the possibility that there are far more outcomes or solutions available to whatever is causing you chaos right now. Things far beyond anything you’ve experienced, things your mind couldn’t even conceive as real possibilities.
Can you lean and breathe into trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to? That at some point in the future, you’ll be able to look back on this time with the “ahhh I see now!!” awareness. And it’ll all make sense. You’ll see the red thread that was weaved through everything to pull it together into a bigger picture.
You’ve been here before. Maybe many times. Think back to a situation that felt much like what you’re going through now. Didn’t it somehow work out? Weren’t you able to look back and see it with new eyes?
When we’re in it, all we can see is the muck. We feel the depths. We forget that these things happen for us somehow, not to us.
My invitation to you today – let it be. Let it transform you. At the end of the day, you always have yourself.
Instead of giving the situation more of your mental, physical and emotional energy, how can you pull all of those valuable resources back into yourself and give yourself what you really need?
