Sensuality and Essential Oils
We’ve been talking about all sorts of love recently!   This week I wanted to let you know how to use your oils to rev up your bedroom life (ahhh, didn’t know some oils have aphrodisiac properties to them now did ya?).  What’s not to love?!
Essential oils are natural substances which respond with our body’s chemistry. They are known for their balancing and calming properties, but they are equally great for stimulating other responses, such as libido, as well. Essential oils that are from spices and certain flowers that have warm, rich aromas can create an aphrodisiac response. By combining certain oils with a few simple techniques, you’re ready to ignite the body’s natural response wherein the pleasure of relaxation and rising temperature can create a more open response to touch and sensuality. There are many clinical studies that show the oils below are excellent choices and give you many options to see which ones will spark with your and your partner’s chemistry. See which of these oils blends well with your own scent to bring out the desire in your significant other and then add them to your existing doTERRA order!
  • Lavender – produces sexual excitement in many people and may help balance the hormones. Reduces feelings of anxiousness and balances energy. Increases blood flow to genitals and enhances female sensitivity.
  • Clary Sage – helps improve sexual desire; arousing the emotions. Regulates and balances hormones in women. May help with problems relating to impotence and frigidity.
  • Sandalwood – helpful with sexual problems due to its aphrodisiac properties. Enhances feelings of sexuality and openness.
  • Bergamot – has a combination of delightful lemon and floral aromas and is usually blended with other oils. It can add balance to a partner that is anxious or depressed. Has the ability to ease tension and feelings of anxiousness.
  • Geranium – elevates the emotions of love and happiness. May also restore equilibrium and help with menopausal problems.
  • Ylang Ylang – elevates sexual energy and enhances relationships.
  • Clove – warming oil, stimulates and lets you enjoy the experience (make sure to dilute this one!)
  • Patchouli – helps release sexual fears, helps to improve communication on a physical and emotional level
