Foodie Friday

Who has time to make all these dishes, I mean seriously. Most days we’re lucky if we have a main dish that we didn’t have to use the telephone to get. Having said that, I feel the grill could be your biggest asset no matter the season (ok, no matter the season if you’re us because we’ll grill in the dead middle of winter lol). By far the one thing we do almost every night we have dinner at home is make grilled veggies. Whatever we have on hand, we cut up and toss in a ziplock bag with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder (or smoked garlic powder, or garlic flakes, or roasted garlic powder, you get the idea) or really any other seasoning you’d like! We shake it up and throw it in a grill basket to cook along side whatever we’re grilling that night. Take my word for it and invest in a grill basket, it makes the process SO much easier and cleaner!

Grilled veggies are delish, and it’s a great way to eat all your colors (try to mix up the colors – each color veggies will give you a different dose of yummy nutrients!) And of course, if you can always go organic. If you can’t do organic, just choose the veggies over the Snickers =)

Happy grilling!

xoxo

    1. Hey Madeline!! Seriously grilling veggies is the best – it’s so easy, I love it. Honestly I think the basket we used we just got from Bed Bath and Beyond – it’s nothing spectacular and we usually go through them maybe once a year because we use them so much LOL
