What are your dreams?

When was the last time someone asked you what your dreams were? In fact, when was the last time YOU considered what your dreams were? In a world where burnout and exhaustion are running rampant, what would it be like to transport yourself into your imagination to get back in touch with the life you really want to be living?

While we’re talking about that… have you ever paused to check in with yourself to see if the life you’re creating is the one you actually want to be creating for yourself? Or is it the product of other people’s “should’s” in your life, obligations, responsibilities, other’s desires and preferences, etc.? (PS – if it’s the latter, it’s almost surely a straight shot to misery… I would know, been there done that).

More than ever I’m meeting more and more people (women especially) who are coming into a beautiful space in their lives where they’re realizing that they’ve been living their lives for others, out of obligations, etc. Sometimes overnight they find themselves with the realization that they now have the freedom of choice on how they want to go forward. A blank slate. Instead of it being a beautiful opportunity full of ease, choice and freedom, to some it can feel like sheer panic, terror and stress. Believe it or not, we’re very familiar with the feelings of chaos and stress. Ease? Freedom? Getting to choose for ourselves? Maybe not so much. When we’re so use to living life for others or within the constructs of limitation (work, family, income, etc.), what happens when those constructs go away and we’re left to build our future according to our own desires?

An integral part of The How to Human Experience, this virtual 2 hour dream board (also called visionboard) workshop for individuals, businesses and organizations of all sizes helps you create time to find clarity, focus on your authentic life, visualize ideal outcomes and learn techniques to make your vision board even more powerful. In the world of Zoom and workshop fatigue, this option helps to infuse some childlike fun back into the day in a way that connects you back to yourself, your team to each other in a different way, while getting the chance to remember and become inspired by authentic desires.

*Please note that this workshop is self-paced as it is recorded, so take it in your own time. Hit play and pause as many times as you need to, taking as much or as little time as you want to progress through! Again, you have this workshop FOREVER. Take it today, tomorrow, next week, come back to it each month, it’s your oyster!

Here’s what you’ll need for your journey:

  • Something to write with and something to write on/in (like a journal, notebook, etc.)
  • Your visionboard supplies!
    • What will you create on? (wall, posterboard, mirror, canvas, corkboard, etc.)
    • Where will you pull your images from? (magazines, Google Images, etc.)
    • Scissors
    • Adhesive like glue, push pins, tape, etc. to adhere your images to your surface (For magazine and paper images, I’ve found Elmer’s No-Wrinkle Rubber Cement to do the best job at keeping the images from wrinkling.)
    • A photo you love of yourself!
    • Anything else you’d enjoy getting playful with – glitter, markers, paint, this is your creation and anything goes!
