If you’re like me, you have a tinsel problem. They aren’t wisdom highlights, they aren’t gray hairs – they’re tinsel. One of the fab ladies in my oil tribe introduced me to the idea (thanks Leilani!!) that you are so freakin fabulous that your body just explodes with excitement and shoots tinsel out of your head for everyone to see! Ok, so that might not be exactly how she explained it, but that’s what I heard and that’s what I’m passing along to you. While I enjoy the concept and positive spin, I say I’m too young for tinsel… so covered up you go!!

Anyways – if you have dark hair, you also have the issue of dark hair dye getting on your skin. Don’t kill your colorist, it isn’t their fault – hell, if I was in charge of that job people would leave with their entire faces looking like they were playing in the mud all day, so a little hair dye on my neck isn’t so bad! I would scrub and scrub and scrub until I was pretty sure that I didn’t actually get the hair dye off my skin, I just sloughed off all the skin that was dyed – BUT, one way or the other I got it off. That hair dye remover stuff the colorists use just doesn’t seem to do the trick either unfortunately. HOWEVER, I now have learned that lemon essential oil is super freakin awesome at getting stains and things off your skin (think grease, oil, dye, paint, etc.). Hair dye doesn’t stand a chance anymore. All I did was wet a towel, put a couple drops of lemon essential oil on it and put a little elbow grease into getting it off my skin. While I did have to scrub a bit to get it off, I had to scrub WAY less than I normally would have – and less skin had to be removed in the process =D Also, I do find that it comes off way easier when I get out of the shower.

You’re welcome =) Happy de-tinseling!

xoxo
